Black Forest Cake. This torte consists of a chocolate sponge cake layered with cherries and cream. This combination of flavors is so delicious that the torte is extremely popular and used to create other recipes. On my blog, you will find not only the recipe for this torte but also <a href=\"https:\/\/wypiekibeaty.com.pl\/sernik-czarnoleski\/\">a recipe for Black Forest cheesecake<\/a> &#8211; where I prepared a chocolate cheesecake with cherry fruit filling and whipped cream. The cheesecake is exquisite, and I recommend it wholeheartedly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Black Forest Cake is a light and thin chocolate sponge cake, on which I spread cherry jelly with cherries. Below is a condensed list of the products I used and possible substitutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>cherries<\/strong> &#8211; you can use fresh, frozen, or compote cherries &#8211; remember to remove the pits! If you use frozen cherries, you don&#8217;t need to thaw them beforehand &#8211; such frozen cherries will cool down faster and help the cherry jelly set<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>cocoa<\/strong> &#8211; for the sponge cake, you will need bitter cocoa &#8211; it can be regular or defatted. Drinking cocoa powder is not suitable here!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>mascarpone cheese<\/strong> &#8211; you can easily buy this cheese in larger stores or discount supermarkets &#8211; it is always available at Biedronka and Lidl<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>chocolate<\/strong> &#8211; I used dark chocolate for my cream because I prefer less sweet cakes; if you prefer sweet baked goods, choose milk chocolate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nutella<\/strong> &#8211; you can substitute it with another chocolate-nut spread &#8211; I used 100 g here, which was 2 very heaped tablespoons; you can use more cream if you want a sweeter taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>whipping cream<\/strong> &#8211; for the whipped cream, I used liquid cream in a carton, with 30% fat content. Therefore, it&#8217;s best to divide the work into stages. You can bake the sponge cake a day or two in advance and store it tightly wrapped in cling film. You can also prepare the cherries in jelly beforehand, as it will probably take 2-3 hours for them to set properly. Place a heat-resistant bowl on top of the pot &#8211; metal bowls or heat-resistant glass bowls work best. Put the broken chocolate into the bowl and heat it until it melts from the steam rising from the water below. You can stir the chocolate during this process to make it melt faster. Remove the bowl from the pot and set it aside for a few minutes. I add just enough liquid to cover the gelatin and stir with a spoon. I set aside the glass with gelatin for a few minutes. During this time, the gelatin swells and thickens. Once it&#8217;s thick, it needs to be heated to become liquid. A microwave works best for me here. I put the glass in and set the time for 10 seconds. I watch through the door &#8211; when the gelatin starts to rise in the glass, it means it&#8217;s ready. Then I take it out and stir. To prevent the gelatin from forming lumps in the cream when added, it needs to be tempered. Just add 1-2 tablespoons of cream to the glass with gelatin and mix. Only then do I add this tempered gelatin to the rest of the cream and mix vigorously or blend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to heat gelatin if you don&#8217;t have a microwave?<\/strong> You can place the glass with gelatin in a pot of hot water and stir until it dissolves. Dark, intensely red sweet cherries will work particularly well here. They are sweeter than sour cherries, so keep that in mind when preparing the chocolate cream later &#8211; it might be worth using dark chocolate ;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"jak-przechowywac-czekoladowe-ciasto-z-wisniami\">How to store chocolate cherry cake?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This creamy cherry cake, due to the whipped cream, is best stored in the refrigerator. It is ready to serve immediately after taking it out of the refrigerator and does not require additional heating. The cake can safely stay in the refrigerator for several days. Due to the whipped cream, the cake is not very suitable for freezing.
