How to make orange cake with glaze step by step
Step 1 - preparations
Grease the baking pan with butter and dust with flour.
Preheat the oven to 180℃ (top/bottom heat mode) or 170℃ (convection).
Sift together the flour and baking powder through a sieve.
200 g all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder
Step 2 - Preparing the Creamed Orange Cake Batter
Transfer the butter to a large bowl, add powdered sugar and grated orange zest.

Mix them together for a few minutes until the mixture becomes fluffy.
Add eggs one by one to the whipped butter, mixing briefly on low speed after each addition.

Add about half of the sifted flour and gently mix on low speed - just until combined.
Add orange juice and mix briefly.
3 tablespoons orange juice
Pour in the rest of the flour and mix briefly, just until combined.
Stop mixing when you still see some flour residue around the edges - then mix it in with a spoon.
Transfer the batter to the prepared mold.
Step 3 - Baking the Orange Cake
Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes - until a dry skewer test.
After baking, let the cake rest for about 10 minutes, then carefully remove it from the mold and leave to cool completely.
Step 4 - preparing the orange glaze for the cake
Sift the powdered sugar into a bowl, add orange juice in portions, and mix until all the sugar is combined and you get a thick but slightly pourable glaze.

Pour the glaze over the top of the cake.
Finally, you can sprinkle the cake with orange zest - grated or, for example, candied.
