Grease the bundt cake pan with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Cream the butter with sugar until a white and fluffy mass is formed - I like to use powdered sugar here - then the mixture comes together faster - I usually mix for a few minutes.
200 g butter, 200 g sugar
Sift the flour with baking powder through a sieve.
350 g wheat flour - all-purpose, 2 teaspoons baking powder
Add the flour to the butter mixture alternately with buttermilk - mix briefly - just until combined.
240 ml buttermilk
Whisk the egg whites until stiff and add to the batter - gently mix.
4 egg whites
Prepare 5 smaller bowls - set aside 4-5 tablespoons of batter in one. 3 tablespoons in the second, and 2 tablespoons in each of the remaining bowls.
Color the bowl with the most batter red, the next one yellow, then green, blue, and purple.
food coloring
Transfer approximately 2/3 of the remaining batter to the pan.
Spread the red color in the center and distribute it evenly.
Layer yellow on top of red - so that the edges of the red are visible.
Layer green on top of yellow, then blue, and finally purple.
Layer the rest of the white batter on top of the colored batter.
Bake at 170 degrees Celsius (fan-assisted mode) for about 45 minutes - until a dry skewer comes out clean.
After baking, carefully remove the bundt cake from the pan and let it cool.
Prepare the glaze - add milk spoon by spoon to the powdered sugar and mix - do not make the glaze too runny, or it will all drip off the bundt cake.
100 g powdered sugar, 2-3 tablespoons milk
Finally, you can sprinkle the cake with colorful sprinkles.
