How to make almond cake
Melt the butter in a saucepan and heat until it turns brown - then set it aside for about 10-20 minutes to cool slightly.
170 g butter
Add sugar to the butter and mix.
200 g sugar
Add milk and mix.
250 ml milk
Add eggs to the butter and mix with a spoon.
2 eggs
Combine the flour with baking powder and ground almonds.
225 g wheat flour - all-purpose, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 50 g ground almonds
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ones and mix.
Transfer the batter to the prepared pan - I greased mine with butter and dusted it with breadcrumbs.
Sprinkle the top of the cake with chopped almonds.
100 g almonds
Place the almond cake in an oven preheated to 170 degrees (fan-forced) or 180 degrees (top/bottom heat) and bake for about 45-50 minutes - until a skewer comes out clean.
After baking, let the cake cool, you can additionally dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
