Transfer the chopped butter to a light-bottomed saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly.
200 g butter
Be careful - the butter may foam and rise during the process.
Heat the butter and stir constantly until you see black specks forming at the bottom and the butter turns brown - be careful not to heat the butter for too long, as it will become bitter.
Once black specks appear, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
How to make blueberry cake with browned butter
Meanwhile, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until a thick and fluffy mixture is formed.
300 g sugar, 4 eggs , 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
Sift the flour through a sieve together with the baking powder.
375 g wheat flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder
Pour the butter in a thin stream into the beaten eggs (I did not add the "burnt" residue).
Add the flour and mix.
Add the milk and mix.
120 ml milk
Grease a 23-24 cm pan with butter and sprinkle with flour or breadcrumbs.
Pour the batter into the pan.
Spread Stovit Blueberry Jam on top - I used the whole jar (the jam will sink to the bottom during baking).
1 jar Jam
Sprinkle the top of the cake with chopped almonds.
1 handful almonds
Bake at 180 degrees (top/bottom heat) for about an hour - until a dry stick comes out clean.
