1 orange
Let the orange cool down.
Cut the orange into smaller pieces - remove any seeds.
Blend the fruit into a smooth puree - the smoother, the better.
Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt in a double boiler - let it cool.
100 g chocolate
Blend the eggs with sugar until a thick and fluffy mixture is formed.
3 eggs, 200 g sugar
Pour oil into the beaten eggs, continuing to blend.
240 ml oil
Add the cooled chocolate and blend until combined.
Add the orange puree and mix with a spoon.
Sift the flour through a sieve together with cocoa and baking powder.
250 g wheat flour - all-purpose, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 25 g dark cocoa
Add the flour to the batter and mix with a spatula.
Transfer the batter to the prepared pan (mine was lined with baking paper).
Bake in an oven preheated to 170 degrees Celsius (fan-assisted) for about an hour - until a dry skewer comes out clean. If the skewer is sticky, extend the baking time.
After baking, let the cake cool down.
Before serving, you can additionally drizzle the cake with a glaze made from melted chocolate.
