Beat the butter with powdered sugar for several minutes on high speed with a mixer - until you get fluffy, light, and thick butter.
170 g butter, 150 g powdered sugar
Add to the butter one egg at a time and a tablespoon of the mixed flour.

Mix briefly after each addition on low speed with a mixer - just until combined.
Add about half of the remaining flour and mix briefly on low speed.
Pour in the buttermilk and mix briefly.
80 ml buttermilk
Add the rest of the flour and mix briefly - stop when you still see remnants of flour and briefly mix them in with a spoon.
Transfer about 2/3 of the dough into the pan and spread it in an even layer.
Add the apples in cinnamon and spread them evenly.
Spread the rest of the dough over the apples.
Step 4 - Prepare the Crumble
Transfer the crumble ingredients to a bowl and quickly combine them with a fork or your fingers.
75 g wheat flour, 70 g butter, 45 g sugar, 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Sprinkle the crumble over the top of the cake.
Step 5 - Bake the Cake
Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for about an hour - until a toothpick comes out clean.
After baking, let the cake cool slightly.
