Start whisking the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they are slightly foamy.
10 egg whites
Slowly add the sugar and whisk the mixture at high speed.
200 g sugar
When the egg whites are very thick, white, and glossy, slowly pour in the oil in a thin stream - mix at low speed.
240 ml oil
Add vanilla extract and mix - if you are using vanilla sugar, you can add it along with the regular sugar.
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Sift the flour through a sieve and add it in portions to the egg whites - gently mix each portion with a spatula.
200 g wheat flour - all-purpose
Finally, add the lightly chopped nuts and raisins - gently mix.
100 g nuts,
50 g raisins
Line the pan with baking paper and transfer the batter - smooth the surface.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat mode) for approximately 35 minutes - until a dry skewer comes out clean.
After baking, let it cool and finally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
