How to make moist vanilla cake step by step
Step 1 - cake preparation
Line the baking pan with parchment paper or grease with butter and sprinkle with flour or breadcrumbs
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees (top-bottom mode).
Sift the flour together with the baking powder through a sieve.
250 g wheat flour - all-purpose,
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
Step 2 - preparing the cake
Transfer the soft butter to a bowl, add sugar and vanilla.
200 g butter,
150 g sugar,
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Cream everything together into a fluffy and light mass - I mix them on high speed for several minutes.
Add eggs one by one to the creamed butter, and immediately add a tablespoon of sifted flour with each egg.

Mix the eggs with butter on low speed - briefly, just until combined.
Add about half of the remaining flour and mix briefly.
Pour in the milk and mix on low speed.
120 ml milk
Add the rest of the flour and mix briefly - just until combined.
Step 3 - baking the cake
Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes - until a skewer comes out clean.
After baking, cool the cake.
Step 4 - preparing the glaze
Sift the powdered sugar into a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of milk and mix.

If necessary, add a little more milk - if all the sugar has not dissolved.
Drizzle the cake with the glaze.
