How to make grated apple cake with cream cheese frosting step by step
Step 1 - preparations
Line a baking pan with parchment paper, or grease it with butter and dust with flour or breadcrumbs.
Preheat the oven to 180℃ (top/bottom heat mode) or 170℃ (convection).
Grate the apples on a coarse grater - I didn't peel mine.

Step 2 - preparing the apple cake
In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients for the cake.
350 g all-purpose flour,
2 teaspoons baking powder,
0.5 teaspoons baking soda,
0.5 teaspoons salt,
1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon,
200 g sugar
Transfer the wet ingredients for the cake - oil, eggs, and yogurt - to a second bowl.
150 g oil,
4 eggs,
200 g natural yogurt
Mix them thoroughly with a kitchen whisk.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until combined.
Add the grated apples and mix with a spoon.
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking tin.
Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes - until a toothpick comes out clean.
After baking, let the cake cool.
Step 3 - Decorating the cake
Transfer the cream cheese to a bowl and blend it with powdered sugar - you can also add 0.5 teaspoon of cinnamon for flavor.

Spread the cream cheese frosting on the cooled cake. Finally, drizzle the top with caramel sauce and gently swirl it with the cream cheese.
