How to make vanilla crescents Vanillekipferl
Knead the dough from flour, ground almonds, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and butter.
100 g walnuts, 280 g wheat flour - all-purpose, 80 g powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar, 200 g butter
If the dough doesn't want to come together, you can add a little cold water to it.
Refrigerate the prepared dough to chill - for about an hour.
Take out the chilled dough, scoop small portions of dough with a teaspoon (size between a hazelnut and a walnut) and roll them into balls, then form the balls into small rolls.
Shape the rolls into crescents and arrange them at intervals on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 180 degrees (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes.
After baking, leave them on the baking sheet until the cookies cool down - they are soft right after baking and harden slightly over time.
Sprinkle the cooled vanilla cookies with plenty of powdered sugar - you can pour it into a bowl and coat each cookie in the sugar.
approx 50 g powdered sugar
