Crumble the yeast into warm milk (it shouldn't be too hot), add a teaspoon of sugar and mix thoroughly.
15 g fresh yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar, 120 ml milk
Cover the cup with the starter and set aside in a warm place for about 20 minutes - during this time, the starter should begin to work - it will rise and thicken.
Add flour to a large bowl, add the rest of the sugar, egg, melted and cooled butter.
300 g wheat flour - all-purpose, 40 g sugar, 1 egg, 40 g butter
Pour in the yeast starter and knead into an elastic dough.
Cover the bowl with the dough with a cloth and set aside in a warm place for about an hour - it should rise and double in volume.
Remove the risen dough onto a floured countertop and knead briefly.
Roll out the dough into a thin sheet.
Spread about 5 teaspoons of Stovit Apricot Preserve over approximately half of the dough and spread thoroughly.
5 teaspoons fruit preserve
Fold the dough in half, covering the spread part with the "clean" dough.
Cut the dough into thin strips - about 1.5 cm wide.
Twist each strip several times around itself and lightly stick it to the countertop.
Roll up the dough into a scroll starting from the top (see the dough preparation video below).
Grease the baking pan with butter and dust with flour.
Transfer the dough to the pan, cover with a cloth and set aside for about half an hour - to puff up.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees (convection mode).
Bake the yeast cake for about 35 minutes - until golden brown.
Cool the cake.
