Instrukcja
How to make chocolate mayonnaise cake
Step 1 - mix dry ingredients
Pour flour into a large bowl, add baking soda, sugar, and dark cocoa.
450 g wheat flour - all-purpose, 300 g sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, approx 80 g dark cocoa
Mix everything together with a spoon or a whisk.
Step 2 - add wet ingredients to the batter
Add milk to the bowl and mix briefly - it doesn't have to be thoroughly mixed.
approx 360 ml milk
Add mayonnaise and mix until you get a smooth batter. If the batter is too thick, you can add a little more milk to it.
approx 310 g mayonnaise
Transfer the batter to a baking pan lined with baking paper or greased with butter and floured (or dusted with breadcrumbs).
Step 3 - bake the mayonnaise cake
Place the pan with the chocolate cake in an oven preheated to 170 degrees (fan mode) or 180 degrees (top/bottom mode) and bake for about 45 minutes - until a dry skewer comes out clean.
After baking, cool the cake.
Step 4 - prepare chocolate glaze for the cake
In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream (remember that if you are making a glaze with milk chocolate, you need less cream), when it's hot, add the broken chocolate to it.
200 ml heavy cream, 200 g dark chocolate
Mix thoroughly until you get a smooth glaze.
Cool the chocolate and when it slightly thickens, pour it over the top of the cake.
You can additionally sprinkle the top of the glaze with chocolate sprinkles or grated chocolate.
