How to make strawberry cake
Wash the strawberries, cut off the stems, and halve them. If the fruits are very large, you can quarter them.

Cream the butter with sugar and vanilla until fluffy and almost white.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Then add one egg at a time and mix briefly.

Sift the flour together with the baking powder and add to the butter mixture.

Mix briefly.
Add the cream and mix briefly - just until combined!
120 ml 18% cream
Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
Arrange the sliced strawberries on top - preferably skin-side down.
Bake in a preheated oven (180 degrees Celsius, top-bottom mode) for approximately 40 minutes - until a wooden skewer comes out clean.
After baking, cool the cake, and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
