If you like delicious homemade cookies, then be sure to make these cookies with cream and sugar. Everyone will surely love them.

- 375 g wheat flour (- 2.5 cups)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 125 g butter (cold)
- 250 ml heavy cream (chilled, I used 30%)
- 100 g sugar (for coating)
Instrukcja
How to make cream cookies
- Pour the flour into a bowl, add baking powder and add butter in pieces.375 g wheat flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 125 g butter
- Crumble like for streusel.
- Pour in the cold heavy cream and knead the dough – it may be slightly sticky.250 ml heavy cream
- Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the freezer for half an hour.
- After this time, divide the dough in half, place it on a floured surface and roll out thinly.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into strips about 2 cm wide, and then into pieces about 10 cm long.
- Brush the top of the dough with a little water.
- Transfer the sugar to a deep plate, coat the dough pieces in sugar, lightly twist, and arrange on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.100 g sugar
- Bake the cookies at 170 degrees (fan mode) for approximately 10 minutes – until lightly browned.
- Cool after baking.

Shortbread swirl cookies – notes
I spotted the recipe for these cream swirl cookies on Instagram and liked it so much that I decided to try it.
Although fresh cream is used in that recipe, it is not available in Poland.
Instead, I simply used 30% whipping cream – well chilled.
Additionally, chilled butter, flour, and baking powder.
We don’t add sugar to the dough itself.
The only sugar in these cookies is the one on top.

How to make cookies with cream – tips
After preparing the dough, I chilled it for half an hour in the freezer to make it easier to roll out.
After rolling it out, I cut it into thin strips, and then these strips into pieces – roughly similar to ‘faworki’ (angel wings).
After cutting, I coated the cookies in granulated sugar and arranged them on a large baking sheet from the oven.
While one batch was baking, I was preparing the second part of the dough.
This way, baking and preparation went quickly and smoothly!
The swirl cookies turned out nicely crispy and shortbread-like.
My children really liked them and quickly finished the whole batch.
The cookies will be perfect as a snack, dessert, or for holidays. Especially since they are very easy to make!
