Overnight oatmeal with coffee – notes
I found the recipe for this tiramisu overnight oatmeal on pinterest and immediately felt a huge desire to eat it. I love oatmeal, but for now, it’s still too warm for me to eat traditional cooked oatmeal. However, such overnight oatmeal, chilled in the fridge, not only nourishes perfectly but also refreshes with its coolness. Moreover, I couldn’t ignore the taste of tiramisu. I must admit that tiramisu is probably my favorite dessert. Hence, there are so many recipes on my blog inspired by this famous Italian dessert. And now, this delicious coffee tiramisu oatmeal joins them :)

Ingredients (and substitutes) necessary for preparing tiramisu oatmeal
You will only need a few ingredients to prepare this overnight oatmeal. Below I list the products I used and possible substitutes.
- oat flakes – mountain oats (rolled oats) will be best – so they absorb the liquids added to the oatmeal well
- coffee – I used espresso coffee from a machine – I added it hot; if you don’t have an espresso machine, you can use coffee from a moka pot, or coffee brewed from a teaspoon of coffee and a little water
- maple syrup – I used 1 teaspoon of maple syrup to sweeten the oatmeal – this sweetness was perfectly sufficient for me, but if you prefer sweeter oatmeal, feel free to add more – you can add it in the morning after tasting the finished oatmeal. Maple syrup can be replaced with another sweetener – regular sugar, xylitol, erythritol, agave syrup
- milk – I used regular UHT cow’s milk 1.5%; you can replace it with plant-based milk or milk with a different fat content
- skyr – I served my oatmeal with vanilla skyr because I like its taste :) you can also use plain thick natural yogurt

How to decorate overnight oatmeal?
A layer of thick skyr and bitter cocoa sifted over it is perfectly sufficient for decorating the oatmeal. If you want a WOW presentation, you can sprinkle grated chocolate on top of the oatmeal instead of bitter cocoa. You can also add a ladyfinger (like for tiramisu), or cute mini ladyfingers :)

I hope you like this tiramisu overnight oatmeal and will gladly use this recipe. Also, remember my other recipes for delicious oatmeal that have already appeared on the blog :)
