Yeast Buns with Apples – notes
I love yeast cakes and all kinds of yeast buns.
Nevertheless, I don’t bake them particularly often – and that’s for one basic reason.
I can’t resist them at all and end up devouring most of them myself.
It was no different with these apple buns. I think I had about four. Oh yes, apple yeast buns are my absolute Achilles’ heel. But you can’t blame me—they turned out totally out of this world, simply insane!
Not only are they soft yeast buns, but they’re filled with apples. This mashup of a classic yeast bun and an apple pie is just perfection in my book. The dough is light and super fluffy, packed with tons of apple filling. I certainly didn’t hold back—I stuffed each bun with a heaping spoonful of apples. Because of that, these apple yeast buns were seriously “well-stuffed” ;)
I’ll definitely be making these again—no doubt about it. You absolutely have to give them a try and let me know how they turned out. Be sure to check out my other recipes for delicious yeast cakes and pastries too!
