Fluffy yeast cake with plum jam – notes
Today I greet you with a delicious yeast cake with plum jam! Some time ago, somewhere in the internet depths, I saw a video with a great way to roll yeast dough. I liked it so much that I decided to try it!
I prepared a light yeast dough, took out a jar of apricot plum jam from Stovit (yes, yes – they exist and they are delicious!) and made the cake. Especially for you, I also made a short video showing how to do this “braiding”. The method is super simple, and the final result, in my opinion, is WOW – what do you think?

Ingredients necessary for preparing yeast cake with plum jam
The dough is simple, so you need basic ingredients. Yeast – I used fresh, but you can also use dry yeast. Butter, wheat flour, egg, and of course, plum jam. I used apricot plum jam, which was new to me, and I must say it worked great. Instead of plum jam, you can also use marmalade or fruit preserve. I moderately recommend jam here – at least store-bought jam – because under the influence of heat, jam melts and flows out a lot.

How to make yeast dough with plum jam – tips
I made the yeast dough itself in a traditional way and set it aside to rise. Then I kneaded it again and rolled it out thinly. I spread the yeast cake with plum jam and started rolling – the most fun part! Watch the video below the recipe.
I’ll add that my video-making skills frustrate my husband :) While making the cake, I almost completely went out of frame with it and didn’t even notice. And then he sits and struggles with editing. I’m telling you – it’s not easy!
I hope that despite everything, you will like the video and it will help you in preparing this yeast cake with plum jam.
I also invite you to try my other yeast cake recipes and recipes prepared together with Stovit preserves.
