Simple coffee cake – notes
I really like the taste of coffee – as long as it’s not too strong and has lots of milk, and I can’t imagine a day without a good cup of coffee.
I’ll tell you, this drunken coffee cake is a great alternative to a cup of coffee.
My husband particularly liked the coffee icing, and I must admit, it does a great job here.
And why did this cake end up in the ‘drunken’ section?
Because I put coffee liqueur inside – and quite a lot of it :)
As I wrote – I love coffee, but I drink it rather weak.
A strong coffee could kill me. That’s why the light coffee flavor of the cake itself was perfect for me.
But if you like your coffee strong and black, I suggest you add more instant coffee inside.
If you like such “fortified” cakes, I recommend drunken chocolate bundt cake, Kukułka cake or drunken crumble with cherries from liqueur.

Drunken coffee cake
Recipe for a simple coffee cake with coffee icing is a recipe for coffee lovers :) A very simple recipe, for which I also made a preparation video, you'll make it in a dozen minutes, then just baking and waiting for it to cool down. We add liqueur to the cake (preferably coffee-flavored), but don't worry about it. Alcohol evaporates during baking and leaves only the flavor. You can use any coffee-flavored liqueur here.
Moist coffee cake recipe
This coffee bundt cake is delicious, moist and stays fresh for a long time. See my detailed step-by-step recipe and check how to make coffee cake. Such a cake is an ideal weekend cake with coffee, of course :) I additionally poured two types of icing over the coffee cake, creating a marble pattern on top - this is an inspiration from coffee with milk.
