Mexican jelly dessert – notes
Milk mosaic is another dessert recipe from Mexican cuisine.
Previously, among other things, I made a very popular milk cake in this country – tres leches cake.
In both this and that cake, we use three types of milk.
You will need sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk (unsweetened), and regular milk here.
Additionally, buy three jellies in different colors and gelatin.
Due to the use of sweetened condensed milk, we no longer add sugar here – this sweetness was completely sufficient for me.
My husband grumbled a bit that he would add lemon juice here to enhance the flavor.
I liked this milk mosaic as it was, but try the mixture and decide for yourself whether to add a little juice to it.

How to make condensed milk and jelly cake – tips
First, prepare the jellies and set them aside to fully set.
Then cut them into cubes – mine were quite large – and mix them together.
Mix all the milks together and add gelatin to them.
I made my dessert in a regular large bundt pan – you can also use a silicone mold, or pour the whole thing into a large, flat dish.
If you want to make it in a bundt pan, grease it with a thin layer of oil – so it’s easier to remove the dessert later.
In the recipe, I precisely described how best to remove the mosaic from the mold.
Try the recipe and let me know how it tasted!
The dessert itself is similar to our Polish iceberg cake, but the use of these different milks definitely changes the taste of the dessert itself.
