Lemons – recipes for everyone!

One learns throughout life :)

And I too, while preparing this post, learned something interesting!

It turns out that lemons come from China, although they are not cultivated there at all currently!

Lemon contains a lot of vitamin C, as well as a lot of rutin, which prevents the loss of vitamin C from the body and strengthens blood vessels.

Lemon is a good source of beta-carotene, B vitamins, E, potassium, magnesium, sodium, and iron. It also contains terpenes that stimulate saliva production. And since saliva secretion increases the production of digestive enzymes, lemon stimulates digestive processes, accelerating the cleansing of the body – thus promoting weight loss (source Poradnik Zdrowie).

I most often use lemons to flavor my bakes.

Both lemon zest and its juice are great for this.

I recommend adding lemon to bundt cakes and fruit cakes – it will give them a refreshing taste.
