Rye Flour in Recipes

Rye flour is made by grinding rye grains.

It is rich in dietary fiber, complex carbohydrates, B vitamins, and minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium, and zinc.

Due to its properties, rye flour is perfect for baking bread, rolls, and other baked goods, as well as for preparing traditional Polish dishes such as pierogi, dumplings, or pancakes.

Rye flour has a distinctive darker color and a strong flavor that gives dishes a unique aroma.

Additionally, because of its nutritional qualities, rye flour can be included in the diet of people with diabetes, as it has a gentle effect on blood sugar levels and is slowly absorbed by the body.

Personally, I am not very fond of its taste, so I don’t use it very often in my kitchen.
