Whipped Cream
Whipped Cream – Recipes for Everyone!
Whipped cream is one of the most popular ingredients used in a wide variety of sweet and culinary recipes.
Whipped cream is rich in fats and calories, but it also provides a source of calcium and vitamin A. It can be used in many ways—as a topping for cakes, fruits, and desserts, or as an ingredient in creams and sauces.
Special tools, such as a hand mixer or a whisk, are used to whip the cream. Whipping cream requires some practice, as overwhipping can cause it to lose its light and airy texture.
Whipped cream is simply heavy cream beaten until stiff peaks form, often with a little sugar added.
For best results, use cream with 30% or 36% fat content.
To make perfect whipped cream, the cream must be very well chilled. On warm days, it’s also a good idea to chill the bowl you’ll be using to whip the cream.
If the cream is too warm, it won’t whip properly and may even curdle!
