Whipping cream
Whipping cream – recipes for everyone!
Whipping cream is a rich cream commonly used as an ingredient in cooking.
It has a creamy texture and a rich flavor, making it a popular addition to many dishes.
Whipping cream contains about 30–36% milk fat (and you can even find cream with 42% fat) and is rich in vitamins A and D.
It can be used to prepare sauces, soups, desserts, or whipped stiff as a topping for cakes and other baked goods.
In Polish cuisine, whipping cream is often used to make traditional dishes such as cucumber soup, sour rye soup (żurek), or kremówka.
It can also be added to coffee, tea, or hot chocolate to give them a creamy flavor.
In grocery stores, you can find different types of whipping cream with varying fat contents, so it’s worth checking labels and choosing the right type for specific dishes.
In my recipes, I most often use whipping cream with 30% fat. It whips perfectly, tastes great, and has fewer calories than 36% or 42% cream.
