Corn
Corn – Recipes for Everyone!
Corn is a popular food ingredient that can be enjoyed in many different ways.
It can be boiled, baked, fried, stewed, and also added to salads, soups, salsas, and other dishes.
At home, we love corn soup with a touch of spicy seasonings.
Corn is a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It is especially rich in B vitamins, such as thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), and niacin (B3), which are important for the health of the nervous system and metabolism.
Corn also contains antioxidants, such as carotenoids, which help protect the body from cellular damage.
It is also a good source of carbohydrates, but has a low glycemic index, meaning it raises blood sugar more slowly than many other carbohydrate sources.
Corn is relatively low in calories as well – 100 g of cooked corn contains around 100–120 kcal.
For these reasons, I recommend adding it to various salads and side dishes.
