Yogurt
Yogurt – Recipes for Everyone!
Yogurt is a product created through the natural fermentation of milk.
Yogurt is a highly nutritious food, providing carbohydrates, protein, fat, as well as vitamins and minerals (calcium and phosphorus). Compared to milk, yogurt contains more calcium (500 ml of milk = 350 ml of yogurt), 4–5 times more amino acids, and over 20% more B vitamins, especially folic acid.
Yogurt has a mild, fresh, pleasant, slightly tangy taste and a distinctive aroma. Properly prepared yogurts contain lactic acid bacteria – *Lactobacillus casei* and *Lactobacillus acidophilus*, which are considered probiotics (source: [https://zywienie.abczdrowie.pl/](https://zywienie.abczdrowie.pl/)).
I eat yogurt almost daily with homemade granola and fresh fruits.
Yogurt can also be used to make delicious salad dressings, reducing the need for mayonnaise.
I also add yogurt to cakes – especially butter cakes baked with fruits.
