Chocolate cake with tiramisu cream – notes
Whoever knows me knows that I love tiramisu and coffee desserts. Quite recently I made us delicious pistachio tiramisu using leftover pistachio cream. And now I have prepared for my family this spectacular tiramisu cake with mascarpone cream. The cake itself delighted me with its taste and moistness, and since it’s not much work, I can recommend it even more to everyone! If you like coffee cakes, as well as cream cakes, then be sure to check out this recipe! First, prepare a not-too-sweet moist chocolate oil cake and espresso coffee, and then add coffee-soaked ladyfingers for tiramisu and a light and fluffy tiramisu cream made with mascarpone cheese.

What ingredients are necessary to bake tiramisu cake?
To prepare this cake with mascarpone cream, you will need a few basic ingredients. Below is a condensed list of products I used and possible substitutes.
- cocoa – for the cake itself, and later for decorating the cake, you will need bitter cocoa, it can be defatted or traditional. It cannot be an instant cocoa drink with sugar!
- mascarpone – this cheese also cannot be easily replaced by anything else, but you can get it without any problem in every Biedronka, Lidl, and larger supermarket.
- whipping cream – I used liquid whipping cream in a carton here, mine had 30% fat. You can also use 36% cream – the cream will be even more stable, but also more caloric ;)
- ladyfingers – the best here will be elongated ladyfingers intended for tiramisu – you can buy them at Biedronka and Lidl. Ultimately, if you can’t get them anywhere, you can use ordinary round sponge biscuits.
- coffee – you can use coffee from an espresso machine, or even instant coffee – in that case, prepare the coffee for the cake with 1 teaspoon of instant coffee, and the coffee for soaking the ladyfingers with 2-3 teaspoons.

Can tiramisu cream cake be served immediately?
If you properly soak the ladyfingers in coffee, so that you can see they are soft, then after applying the cream, you can serve the cake immediately. Moist ladyfingers will not resist when cutting. However, if the ladyfingers are not soft, it’s better to keep them in the refrigerator with the cream applied for at least an hour, so they soften and the cake is easier to cut.

How can you decorate chocolate tiramisu cake?
Tiramisu cake sprinkled with just bitter cocoa already looks very nice and can be a decoration for any dessert table. However, if you want to make an even bigger impression, instead of cocoa, you can sprinkle the top of the cake with grated dark chocolate, or chocolate shavings. You can also sprinkle it with a small amount of tiny sponge biscuits.

How many calories does chocolate tiramisu cake have?
In the table below the recipe, I provided the calorie count for 100 g of cake – which is roughly 13 servings. In my opinion, it’s best to cut the cake into 12 servings. Then one slice of cake will have approximately 302 kcal (carbohydrates – 24 g, fats – 21 g, protein – 4 g). Of course, I am providing the calorie count based on the products I used.
I hope this extraordinary coffee cake with cream will appeal to you and your loved ones. Be sure to write in the comments how you liked it!
