It all started with cake—not the chicken and the egg!

In my family home, it was impossible not to have a cake baked for Saturday and Sunday. My mother completely infected me with her passion, and I started baking with flushed cheeks from an early age.

Back then, we used a prodigy (electric roaster) — where the final result often depended less on us and more on the roaster itself!

Now, baking cakes has become so much simpler. We have mixers (back when my mother struggled with a whisk and a bowl), smart ovens, fantastic pans, and a multitude of ingredients.

There’s nothing left to do but bake!
