  • 200 g all-purpose flour (1⅓ cups)
  • 1.5 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 110 g butter (cold – in pieces)
  • 1 egg (size L – cold)

  • 500 g cream cheese (full-fat)
  • 100 g sugar (½ cup)
  • 1 package pudding (vanilla – approx 40 g)
  • 1 egg (size L)
  • approx. 300 g blueberries

ingredients for chocolate glaze

  • 50 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g milk chocolate

additional ingredients – optional

  • blueberries (for decoration)
  • chocolate sprinkles (for decoration)

How to make a cheese and blueberry tart step by step

    Step 1 – preparing the dough

    • Place the dough ingredients together in a bowl or food processor bowl and blend briefly or combine together.
      200 g all-purpose flour, 1.5 tablespoons powdered sugar, 110 g butter, 1 egg

    • The dough should resemble crumble – be lumpy and slightly crumbly.

    • Grease the baking pan with butter and dust with flour or breadcrumbs.

    • Place the dough into the pan and carefully line the sides and bottom of the pan with it.

    • Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes and in the meantime, preheat the oven to 180℃ – in top and bottom heat mode.
    • Pre-bake the chilled crust for 20 minutes.

    Step 2 – preparing the filling

    • Wash and dry the blueberries.

    • Transfer the quark to a bowl, add sugar, pudding powder, and egg.

    • Blend briefly – just until combined.

    • Spread the filling onto the pre-baked crust (you don’t need to cool it specifically).

    • Arrange blueberries on top of the quark and gently press them down.

    Step 3 – baking the tart

    • Reduce the oven temperature to 160℃.
    • Place the cake pan in the oven and bake for about 50 minutes.
    • After baking, cool the cake completely.

    Step 4 – Preparing the chocolate glaze

    • In a saucepan, heat the cream until hot, but not yet boiling.
      50 ml heavy cream
    • Add the broken chocolate and stir until you get a smooth glaze.

    • Set it aside to cool and thicken slightly.
    • Pour the glaze over the top of the tart.

    • Finally, you can decorate the cake with extra blueberries or chocolate sprinkles.

    I baked this tart for my husband’s work, and I hear that everyone really liked it :) Besides, what’s not to like? ;) Shortcrust pastry? Delicious! Cheesecake filling – even more delicious, plus juicy and tasty blueberries and sweet chocolate glaze. It’s the perfect cake for warm summer afternoons. Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.     What ingredients are needed to prepare a cheesecake tart?

    To bake such a tart with blueberries, you will need a few basic ingredients. Below I list the products I used and possible substitutes.

    • butter – I used extra butter with 82% fat content; you can also ultimately use a butter mix or vegetable butter – but the dough will taste a bit different!
    • cheese – I used mascarpone cheese – you can easily buy it in any Lidl or Biedronka; you can also use good quality full-fat or semi-fat quark cheese – if you have it in a block, you need to grind it twice beforehand with a meat grinder.
    • pudding powder – you can use vanilla or cream pudding powder here – you add the powder to the cheesecake mixture – you don’t cook the pudding beforehand – it can also be pudding with sugar – in that case, you can add a little less regular sugar to the filling.
    • blueberries – fresh fruit will be best here, but out of season you can use frozen fruit – thaw them beforehand and remove excess liquid before placing them on the cheesecake mixture.
    • whipping cream – I used UHT cream in a carton with 36% fat content; it can also be 36% cream.

    Can shortcrust pastry for a tart be rolled out?

    Of course, you can knead the dough so that it forms a nice and uniform mass. Then, to line the baking pan with it, you need to roll it out thinly. I preferred to finish preparing the dough earlier, when it hadn’t yet combined into a smooth dough. Thanks to its loose, crumbly form, I could easily line the pan with it, without the need to roll out the dough.

    How to store a tart with cheese and blueberries?

    This tart does not need to be stored in the refrigerator – after baking and cooling, you can transfer it to a container with a lid, or cover it with a cake dome, so that the pastry stays fresh longer. At room temperature, it can sit out for about 2-3 days – if it’s not too hot. If the pastry is to last longer, then store it in the refrigerator so it doesn’t spoil from the fruit.
