Marble Red Velvet Cookies – notes
My daughter found the recipe for these unique cookies on TikTok and we decided to bake them for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to prepare the recipe here for the blog, so it’s appearing a little late. But you can use it not only for Valentine’s Day but also just for any occasion. And next year, be sure to check out this recipe and bake them again. If you don’t want to lose the recipe, be sure to follow my Instagram profile and add it to your favorites there :)

Here I’m providing my slightly modified version of the cookies. First and foremost, I significantly reduced the amount of white chocolate added to the recipe. The original author uses a total of 300 g of white chocolate! Not only would this make the cookies very sweet, but also much more caloric. One cookie with that much chocolate would have about 361 kcal, whereas mine, with 65 g of white chocolate added to all cookies, has 256 kcal. If you don’t mind the increased calorie count and sweetness of the cookies, you can make them as in the original and add 150 g of white chocolate to both the white and red dough before preparing the Red Velvet cookies themselves.

What ingredients are essential for baking Red Velvet cookies?
To prepare Red Velvet cookies, you will only need a few basic ingredients. Below is a condensed list of products I used and possible substitutes.
- butter – I use extra butter with 82% fat content, but you can also substitute it with vegetable butter, or a butter blend
- flour – you will need a total of 280 g of wheat flour – which is just under 2 cups, it can be all-purpose flour
- red food coloring – gel food coloring will be best, as it won’t affect the dough’s consistency; you can also use powdered food coloring, and liquid food coloring can be used as a last resort, but if the dough becomes more gooey after adding it, add a little more flour
- sugar – I use regular granulated sugar, but you can also use cane sugar, or powdered sugar; you can also try erythritol or xylitol
- white chocolate – it can be regular white chocolate that you chop, or chocolate chips or drops; you can also use other chocolate – pink ruby chocolate would look great here, but milk or dark chocolate can also be used

How to store red velvet cookies with chocolate?
Cookies that are not eaten immediately should be transferred to an airtight container to keep them fresh longer. The cookies will then be soft and perfect for eating for a week or even longer. Over time, they will become less soft, but still delicious.
You can also freeze Marbled red velvet cookies for about 3 months.
I hope these cookies will appeal to you and your loved ones. If you like simple homemade cookies, be sure to check out my other cookie recipes in various flavors and baked with different additions. I am convinced that you will find the perfect cookies for yourself here :)
