Fruit cakes are probably the most popular cakes.

I think that almost every cake gains a lot after adding fruit to it.

You can make practically any type of cake with fruit.

Sponge cakes will work well here, to which the fruit will add juiciness.

They are ideal for shortcrust cakes and semi-shortcrust cakes – I don’t think I need to mention our beloved apple pie here.

They go perfectly with chocolate cakes, bundt cakes and all kinds of meringues.

Use fresh fruit in season.

Out of season, use frozen fruit – often you don’t even need to thaw it beforehand – or canned fruit.

It is good to cut large fruits into smaller pieces beforehand, and we use the smaller ones whole.

You can also add fruit to cupcakes, muffins and cookies :)
