Gingerbread cookies and biscuits 2020

My gingerbread cookies and biscuits 2020
It’s already my annual tradition to publish photos of my gingerbread cookies on the blog :)
It couldn’t be any different this time :D
This year, in addition to gingerbread cookies, nut and chocolate biscuits joined my cookie box.
Nut cookies tasted so good that by Christmas there were practically only crumbs left – I need to bake a new batch :)
Chocolate cookies I baked from a recipe for a chocolate tart with gingerbread-chocolate cream. The crust dough is also perfect for shortbread cookies :D
As usual, I prepared the gingerbread cookies with icing using my favorite recipe :)
After resting in the fridge (at least overnight), the dough can be rolled out very thinly. This makes the gingerbread cookies perfectly crispy and ready to eat immediately. They are great for hanging on the Christmas tree – you make the holes for the string only after baking the cookies. Right after taking them out of the oven, they are still soft, and then you just need to make a hole in them with a skewer stick.
As for Christmas cookies, I highly recommend brunkager gingerbread cookies (the longer they sit, the better they are) and lebkuchen gingerbread cookies.
Besides gingerbread cookies for Christmas, I love orange cookies, cranberry cookies, and ammonia cookies.
And finally!
Remember the gingerbread house
P.S. In the recipe for decorated gingerbread cookies, you will also find a recipe for icing to decorate them. This year I made some painted gingerbread cookies – inspired by Instagram :D
I recommend following my instagram for delicious and easy recipes!
