Michałki Candy Liqueur – notes

I recently made no-bake Michałki cheesecake and its popularity exceeded my expectations :) Especially the Facebook reel achieved incredible viewership – for which I am very grateful :) I myself really like Michałki, especially their white version, so preparing a homemade liqueur from them was a real pleasure for me. And the liqueur tastes exquisite and can also make a nice handmade gift. Be sure to try it and then write in the comments how you liked this liqueur with white chocolate and candies.

What ingredients are needed to prepare Michałki liqueur?

To prepare this candy liqueur, you only need four ingredients. Below I list the products I used and possible substitutes.

  • white Michałki – I used Michałki from Wawel; if you don’t like white candies, you can make a different flavor version with, for example, traditional Michałki, or other truffle candies
  • white chocolate – I buy mine at Lidl from their own brand (Fin Carre); if you’re making liqueur with other Michałki – more chocolatey ones – I suggest replacing white chocolate with milk chocolate
  • heavy cream – I use liquid cream in a carton with 30% fat content (Łaciata); you can also ultimately use 36% cream – but also liquid – only then your liqueur will have a bit more calories
  • vodka – any kind will be good ;)

How to store Michałki liqueur?

Immediately after preparation, Michałki candy liqueur is best chilled in the refrigerator for 24 hours; during this time, the flavors will meld, and the taste of vodka will not be as dominant as right after preparation. If the liqueur is not consumed relatively quickly and sits longer, keep it in the refrigerator. Outside (but not in the heat), it can safely last for about 2 weeks.

How long can cream-based candy liqueur be stored?

Such homemade liqueurs where heavy cream is an ingredient are best consumed within 2-3 months. Vodka is a good preservative, so the liqueur is perfectly suitable for consumption during this period. And when kept in the refrigerator, it is usually good even after this time. Also, remember to shake the bottle of liqueur before pouring, as it may slightly separate if left standing for a long time.

I hope this white Michałek liqueur will appeal to you and you’ll enjoy preparing it – also in other flavor versions :)
