Eggless pistachio tiramisu – notes
I am still using up my stock of purchased pistachio cream and today I invite you to a classic from Italian cuisine – tiramisu. Tiramisu is a light and delicious dessert whose base consists of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream. Here, I added flavor by mixing mascarpone with pistachio cream. I served my pistachio tiramisu in individual glasses, which made it look exceptionally beautiful. In this form, tiramisu will be a decoration for any dessert table. You must try it!

What ingredients are necessary to prepare pistachio tiramisu?
To prepare this dessert, you will need a few basic ingredients. Below is a short list of products I used and possible substitutes.
- mascarpone – this Italian cheese can be easily bought in any larger store, as well as in discount stores. It is regularly available at Biedronka and Lidl.
- pistachio cream – I used ready-made pistachio cream from a jar, I bought mine at Biedronka – GustoBello brand, you can also use another pistachio cream or paste, if you have unsweetened cream, add a little powdered sugar to the cream
- whipping cream – for me, it’s liquid cream in a carton with 30% fat content
- ladyfingers – elongated ladyfingers are needed here, you can easily buy them at Lidl or Biedronka
- pistachios – for me, these are unsalted pistachios, I provided the weight without shells in the recipe! If you have salted pistachios, you can either rinse off the salt or use them as is – the sweet and salty combination is great, and tiramisu in this version will also be delicious :)

How to make pistachio tiramisu in a large dish?
If you don’t want to make several individual desserts, but prefer to prepare a large dish of tiramisu, there’s no problem. For a dish approximately 20/25 cm in size, you will need about 200 g of ladyfingers, and prepare twice as much coffee. It’s best to prepare the cream with a double or even triple portion if you like your tiramisu to have a lot of cream.

I don’t have pistachios, what can I substitute them with?
Don’t have pistachios, but craving pistachio tiramisu? No problem, use a classic addition like bitter cocoa or grated dark chocolate. Then, instead of chopped pistachios, sprinkle cocoa over the pistachio cream, or grate some dark chocolate onto it.
If you try the recipe, I would be delighted if you share your impressions in the comments under the recipe :)
