Tiramisu with pumpkin puree – notes
I love Italian tiramisu and I make it for special occasions – unfortunately, due to its calorie content, I can’t eat it as often as I’d like ;)
Now I made an autumn version, and since it’s autumn, I had to add pumpkin to it, specifically pumpkin puree. Plus a little cinnamon and gingerbread spice.
You’re probably wondering how it tasted?
Well, the tiramisu turned out delicious!
My son didn’t even realize there was pumpkin added and ate the dessert with a second helping!

This tiramisu differs from the traditional one not only by the added pumpkin and spices. This is an eggless tiramisu.
Instead, I added whipped cream to the mascarpone cheese.
I must admit that I ended up with a lot of cream, and even a small part was left over, which I ate straight from the bowl :)
For this tiramisu, you will need pumpkin puree.
There is a post on the blog where I described how to make pumpkin puree. So if you haven’t made puree before, check it out there – there’s also a short video.
I also recommend preparing homemade gingerbread spice. Every year I make a large jar of gingerbread spice and use it throughout autumn and winter – it will definitely come in handy later when making gingerbread cookies, or Old Polish gingerbread.

How to make pumpkin tiramisu – tips
I briefly blended cold mascarpone cheese with pumpkin, powdered sugar, and spices.
Then I added whipped cream (I used 30%) to the mixture and gently folded it in with a spatula.
A lot of cream comes out, as I wrote earlier, so if you have a small container, you can use less whipped cream.
I briefly dipped ladyfingers in cooled coffee and arranged them in a mold.
I spread some of the cream over the ladyfingers and sprinkled bitter cocoa on top.
Instead of cocoa, you can also grate dark chocolate – or sweet chocolate – if you like sweet desserts.
Finally, I chilled the pumpkin tiramisu in the refrigerator.
To make the dessert easier to cut, it’s worth chilling the tiramisu for several hours – then the ladyfingers will soften further and it will be easier to portion the dessert.
If you like tiramisu, I also recommend the recipe for tiramisu with white chocolate – great for holidays and beyond.
I hope that this autumn tiramisu with pumpkin will taste as good to you as it does to me :)

The cream for this pumpkin tiramisu tastes absolutely divine, and trust me—no one will guess what the secret ingredient is! My husband suspected coconut :D and my son ate his tiramisu with a second helping, without even mentioning that I had done or added anything suspicious. And he knows me pretty well by now, so he always approaches my kitchen experiments with a hint of suspicion :)
